Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell has still not played a minute of Premier League football this season.

Kieran Dowell has genuine reason to be angry with Everton boss Marco Silva, unless he starts getting game time soon.

Dowell has played 90 minutes for Everton in the Carabao Cup, and he impressed as the Toffees got past Rotherham United.

However, the youngster has failed to play even a single minute in the Premier League.

Dowell has had to watch on as Oumar Niasse has been favoured to him in an advanced role, and Tom Davies has maintained his place in a deeper slot.

And Dowell could be forgiven for wondering whether he will get a chance at Everton, unless Silva turns to him soon.

Now could be an ideal time to test Dowell out, especially as Gylfi Sigurdsson isn’t quite at top gear.

The youngster could add the creativity to Everton’s team that has been badly missing so far this season.

But if he stays on the sidelines, then Dowell will surely feel that his time would have been better served by moving out on loan again, like he did last season at Nottingham Forest.
