Everton threw away a two-goal lead at Newcastle on Saturday.

Speaking to Everton’s official website, Marco Silva has criticised his side for their lack of killer instinct in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Newcastle United.
The Toffees looked on course for a second Premier League win in three games after first-half goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison gave them a healthy lead at the break.
Salomon Rondon pulled one back for Newcastle midway through the second half, before a double from Ayoze Perez in the final 10 minutes led to Everton’s capitulation.
Silva’s side had chances before and after Rondon’s goal to kill off the game, and the Portuguese manager reveals to the club’s official website that he tried to drill home the importance of ruthlessness during the half-time break.
He said: “In the first 45 minutes we played good football, had good moments and were always aggressive.
“We had full focus. When we spoke at half-time, I said to them, ‘We did well but the game is not finished yet, we have to keep doing the same’. In that first 15, 20 minutes of the second half, we must kill the game.”
It really is a terrible result for Everton, who had shown promising signs of improvement under Silva as of late.
The Goodison Park side held Merseyside rivals Liverpool to a 0-0 draw last weekend, having thumped Cardiff City 3-0 in Wales the previous week, but this is a backwards step.
