Marco Silva shares what he told Everton players at half-time on Saturday

Everton boss Marco Silva has told the Liverpool Echo that he felt his team had lost control of the match at half-time against Watford.

Everton ran out 1-0 winners at Goodison Park on Saturday, but they were not entirely comfortable during the contest.

Watford had their own fair share of chances against Everton, but Jordan Pickford proved to be unbeatable.

And Silva said: “We started really well, controlling the game. After that we lost control of the match. We spoke at half time and tried to change that. We didn’t start well the second-half. Happy with our performance? Of course not.”

Everton scored their only goal of the game against Watford through Bernard, who lashed home after getting on to the end of a brilliant Lucas Digne pass.
