Everton play host to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League today.

Everton boss Marco Silva spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham today, and delivered a timely double boost, with Richarlison and Andre Gomes both being declared fit to play, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs travel to the Toffees in fine form, and currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, so Silva’s men will quite simply have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of upsetting the north Londoners.

Everton currently occupy 11th position in the Premier League table, but they can jump up to seventh with a win against Mauricio Pochettino’s side at Goodison Park today.

And their chances of doing just that will be greatly improved, following Silva’s fitness update, ahead of today’s visit of Tottenham, as quoted by Football.London:

“Richarlison will be ok. He was a bit ill but did a session this morning and looks to be okay for the match. Andre Gomes too.”

With the Brazilian and the Portuguese both being available for selection, Tottenham will certainly not have things all their own way on Merseyside today, and it promises to be a fascinating encounter between two of England’s oldest, most traditional clubs.
