Everton defender Yerry Mina made his first start for Marco Silva’s side last weekend.

Marco Silva has told Everton TV, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, that Everton defender Yerry Mina has impressed him recently.
There was great excitement when Mina was brought to Goodison Park over the summer, but injury meant that the Colombian made a slow start to life on Merseyside.
However, Mina started in Everton’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea before the international break.
The dominant defender helped the Toffees keep a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge with an excellent display.
And Silva said: “It was a tough match for him to come in and play his first official game in the starting XI in the Premier League.
“To go and play [so well] against a strong side in a tough match, he showed his quality.
“It was very important for him and very important for us as a club because we made a big effort to sign him.
“Our stability as a team helped him as well, we are creating this stability in our squad.

“It is good; he helped the team and it was a good performance from him. And a good performance from our squad.”
Silva now has a touch choice to make ahead of Everton’s next match, which comes at the weekend against Cardiff City.
Silva will have to choose between dropping Mina, or breaking up the partnership of Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma, which has performed well this season.
Zouma missed out on playing against Chelsea as he was ineligible due to the terms of his loan, but he will be available again for the clash with Cardiff.
And Silva will have to think long and hard over which central defending he will go with on Saturday.
