Richarlison has impressed since joining Everton from Watford.
Richarlison has told Everton’s official website that Marco Silva has ordered him to undergo three English lessons a week in a bid to overcome his language difficulties at Goodison Park.
Richarlison, 21, joined Everton from Watford for a fee believed to eventually meet a figure in the region of £50million in the summer, and has shown in glimpses that he is worthy of such an astronomical figure.
The former Fluminense attacker has scored four goals in six Premier League appearances, just one less than he managed in the entirety of the 2017-18 campaign at Watford.
Silva, who signed Richarlison from the Brazilian side at Watford last summer, is keen for his marquee summer signing to learn English in a bid to help him improve on the pitch.
“Marco convinced me to have three English lessons a week,” Richarlison said. “I really want to learn quickly because it will be important for the rest of my career.”
Despite Richarlison’s form, Everton have stuttered to just three wins from eight Premier League outings as well as suffering losses to West Ham United and Arsenal.
Richarlison, who has since earned three Brazil caps and scored two goals since joining Everton, is expected to start for the Toffees on Sunday afternoon as they play host to Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.
