Everton boss Marco Silva has told the Guardian that Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman all need to improve.

Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and Lookman are all considered to be among Everton’s brightest prospects.

The attacking trio have all been handed first-team chances by the Toffees this season and they have impressed in patches.

But Silva is determined to make sure that the Everton attackers all go on to fulfil their potential.

The Portuguese boss said: “I am happy with him [Calvert-Lewin] but I want more. He has the quality to give more to the team and help us improve. He knows what I expect from him and he knows I believe in him.

“I only say I want more because I know he has the quality to get better. I am a demanding manager in that sense but it is not just Dominic. It is Richarlison and Ademola Lookman too. These are good young players who need confidence and space to grow.”

Calvert-Lewin has started up-front for Everton in their last three matches and his energetic performances have earned him praise.

The England youth international may not have scored, but he has still proven a threat.

Richarlison, meanwhile, has been one of Everton’s brightest attacking sparks this season and is rapidly establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting youngsters.

Lookman has been used the least frequently of the trio, but the Goodison Park crowd are still excited about his future potential.
