Everton defender Michael Keane has been one of the Toffees star players so far this season.
When Silva arrived Keane was struggling to impress at Everton, after a big money move in 2017.
Keane failed to show his best throughout the whole of last campaign, with his performances shaky.
However, since partnering up with Kurt Zouma in Everton’s defence, Keane has become one of Silva’s side’s top performers.
And the Portuguese boss admits that Keane has definitely improved under his stewardship.
“He’s not the same Michael that I saw during the pre-season and the first match,” Silva admitted.
“He’s improving. He’s knowing our defensive process and growing with the team.
“He’s a player who comes every day to learn and understand better what we want.”
Keane’s partnership with Zouma at the back for Everton will be broken up at the weekend.
Zouma is ineligible to play, as he is only on loan from Everton’s opponent on Sunday, Chelsea.
Keane could, therefore, be tasked with playing alongside summer signing Yerry Mina at Stamford Bridge.
If Everton can pick up a shock victory against Maurizio Sarri’s side, then Silva’s men could move up to sixth in the Premier League table.
