Marco Silva has told Everton’s official Twitter account that he didn’t like the fact that his side conceded from a corner against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Everton won 3-1 against Brighton, and Silva claimed the performance was the best of the season so far at Goodison Park.

The Toffees largely dominated the match, but they were undone by a set piece in the first-half.

And Silva was annoyed that his side conceded in such a manner against Brighton, as they had spent hours in the training ground working on defending dead-ball situations.

Silva said: “The only thing I didn’t like during the match was the corner. We planned and worked on that time of moment during the week. We knew they are strong in that area and we have to do better. It’s something we were improving the last five or six games. We have to keep working.”

Everton scored their first goal through Richarlison, before they were pegged back when Lewis Dunk headed home.

The Toffees did get back in front when Seamus Coleman drilled home and then Richarlison added his second to complete the scoring.

Everton have been in good form of late, and seem to be clicking into great under Silva’s tutelage.

Everton are now up to ninth place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Chelsea.
