Marco Silva’s attacking style is going to take some time to be fully implemented at Everton, but it appears like he’s already working his magic on Theo Walcott.
The 29-year-old started in all four Premier League games before the international break, with the Toffees earning one win and three draws in return.
He’s already scored two goals for the Merseyside club this campaign, while he also assisted the winner against Southampton.
Everton boss Silva is expected to bring a free-flowing and high intensity style of play to the club following his appointment, something which lends itself well to attackers.
Speed machine Walcott appears to be buying into the ideas of Silva already and the early signs are that he’ll be vital this season under him.
The manager deserves great credit for seemingly lifting Walcott to somewhere back towards his best, with his form in the early days of his Arsenal career making him a regular England international.
He made a moderate start at Everton last season after joining in January, scoring three goals and supplying three assists in return.
But Walcott appears to be on an upward spiral and supporters should be excited to see what he can achieve this season.
