Everton boss Marco Silva gave Jonjoe Kenny the chance to start at Goodison Park yesterday.

Everton were beaten 1-0 by Leicester in front of their own supporters at Goodison Park yesterday, and their performance was well short of their best.
Most of Everton’s team failed to perform to the best of their abilities, but Silva felt that Kenny put in a credible performance.
“He did well,” Silva said. “He created some good deliveries and had the biggest chance we had in the game. He helped the team.”
Kenny was a shock inclusion in Everton’s line-up, as he has only had limited game time this season.

The youngster has generally been left out at the expense of Seamus Coleman, who has been Everton’s first choice at right-back.
However, Coleman’s form for the Toffees hasn’t actually been particularly impressive of late.
The Republic of Ireland international has struggled, which has given Kenny a chance to stake his claim.
Whether Kenny will remain in Everton’s team for their next match remains to be seen.
