Liverpool forward Divock Origi is being linked with a shock move to Everton.

Everton are likely to be in the market for a new striker in the January transfer window, but few fans could have predicted the latest name linked with a move.
The Toffees have seen Cenk Tosun struggle in front of goal this term, prompting winger Richarlison to convert to playing up front, whilst Oumar Niasse is set for a January exit and Dominic Calver-Lewin isn’t a natural goalscorer.
Signing another forward has to be a priority for Marco Silva in January, and one reported Everton move may just annoy his former club Watford…again.
Relations between the two clubs are far from great after Watford reported Everton to the Premier League for an illegal approach for manager Silva last year, before sacking him after a poor run of results – which they believe is down to having his head turned by Everton.
Now, Aksam in Turkey report that Tosun could head back to Besiktas in January, and Everton have started talks with Liverpool over a shock deal for striker Divock Origi.
The report has its doubters, and that’s more than fair; few players make the move across Stanley Park between Everton and Liverpool, and a deal for a fringe player like Origi would surprise many.

If true though, Everton may just leave Watford annoyed, as The Mirror reported that Watford were keen on landing Origi over the summer, and may just hold their interest in January too.
Watford may well have wanted to add Origi too Troy Deeney and Andre Gray in January given that Javi Gracia has been playing a 4-4-2 this season, with the Belgian international fitting the bill perfectly.
Now though, with Everton allegedly keen and in talks to offer him a stay in Liverpool, Watford may have to look elsewhere for a striker, which would give Silva a win over his former club.
