Phil Jagielka is out of contract at Everton in the summer of 2019.

Jagielka has played just 54 minutes of Premier League football for Everton so far this season, according to WhoScored.
According to The Guardian, the 36-year-old central defender is out of contract at the Merseyside outfit in the summer of 2019.
Everton manager Silva, though, has made it clear that he will not sell the England international defender next month.
Silva told The Guardian about Jagielka: “We need him for sure. Even if Phil Jagielka is not playing like he did last season or as he has done normally in his life at Everton he is important for us and an important player for this club.
“It is not something in my mind for next month [to let him go]. Let’s see what will happen but it is not on my mind to even think about it.”

Sensible decision?
Jagielka is past his prime, and now in his mid-30s, the Englishman probably does not have too many years left in him.
However, Everton need to have a strong squad, and having the former Sheffield United star even on the substitutes’ bench is a good option.
Moreover, the Merseyside outfit are unlikely to get a lot of transfer fee if they sell the defender in the January transfer window.
Everton are aiming to finish in a European spot in the Premier League table tis season.
