Everton prospect Anthony Gordon has attracted the attentions of Arsenal recently.

Everton boss Marco Silva has told the Liverpool Echo that he wants to keep Anthony Gordon.

The Daily Mail have reported how Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal both want Gordon, who has impressed at development squad level for Everton.

But Silva insists that the Toffees have no intention of losing the 17-year-old at such an early stage of his career.

“He’s a talent,” Silva said. “He’s a player we want to keep, of course. It is our goal to keep our best players, not only the players playing in the first-team.

“If we want to grow and achieve something important we need to keep our best players.

“We are here to look to the young players and to work with them and improve.”

Dortmund have already shown a willingness to take the best English talent, with Jadon Sancho heading to Germany and repeating the rewards.

Everton have also housed their own talent in the Bundesliga, after loaning out Ademola Lookman to Red Bull Leipzig last season.

Gordon is yet to play at all at Everton since Silva took charge, but his form at development squad level has done enough to attract the attention of scouts from across Europe.

Whether Silva will promote Gordon into his first-team to encourage him to stay at Goodison Park remains to be seen.
