Everton manager Marco Silva has told The Liverpool Echo that Sandro Ramirez will not be recalled from his loan spell at Real Sociedad.

Ramirez joined La Liga outfit Sociedad from Premier League club Silva on a season-long deal from Premier League side Everton in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old forward has made just three starts and six substitute appearances in La Liga for Sociedad so far this season, according to WhoScored.

The youngster has had injury issues, and when he has played, he has not looked very sharp and is struggling for form.

Everton manager Silva, though, has said that he will not bring back Sandro in the January transfer window.

“It is something we didn’t think about, to be honest with you,” Silva told The Liverpool Echo about recalling Ramirez. “The loan is, for sure, one season and let’s see what will happen in the future.”

No need at Everton

While Everton could do with a proven goalscorer, Sandro has struggled at Goodison Park, and it does not make much sense for the Toffees to recall the forward.

The 23-year-old forward is better off spending the entire season on loan at Sociedad, and perhaps he will start scoring in the coming weeks.
