Everton boss Marco Silva used three of his young players as substitutes at the weekend.

Silva is trying to bring through some of Everton’s most promising talent, despite the pressure on him ramping up in recent weeks.
Everton’s performances and results have taken a turn for the worse, and Silva is now facing a backlash from some supporters at Goodison Park.
Silva insists that his project at Everton is a long-term one though, and he wants to bring through some of the club’s youngsters.
Everton brought on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny and Ademola Lookman last weekend, as they tried to rescue the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
And although the substitutions did not have the desired impact, Silva still thinks Everton are showing more desire to bring through prospects than they have in the past.

“The young players. You cannot win one match just with young players. You have to have everything in our squad,” Silva said. “We took a decision at the start of the season for some of them to be part of our squad.
“When I changed here players last match I changed with one 20 years old, one 21 and the other 21. That’s maybe not a normal thing in the past for a club like Everton.”
Everton’s recent slump in form has seen them slip down to ninth place in the Premier League table.
The Toffees are next in action when they take on Manchester City tomorrow.
