The Everton star is linked with Aston Villa this summer.
Marco Silva has told Everton’s press conference that Yannick Bolasie is free to leave, amid speculation about a move to Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old winger, who earns £75,000 per week at Goodison Park [Spotrac], is heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa after falling out of favour at Everton under Silva, who has signed Richarlison and Bernard this summer.
RMC Sport in France reported today that Villa’s loan offer for the jet-heeled winger included an option to sign him permanently next summer, while The Birmingham Mail has previously reported that a deal was almost over the line.
And it appears as if Everton aren’t going to stand in his way after Silva confirmed that the decision rests with Bolasie.
He told the Toffees’ press conference: “It’s something the club and the player will decide what the best solution is. We have players in that position and it’ll be tough because of the competition.
“Now is for Bolasie to decide. I already spoke with him.”
Signing Bolasie on loan would be a massive boost for Aston Villa’s hopes of Premier League promotion.
Steve Bruce’s side have already enjoyed a fairly decent start to the Championship season, winning two and drawing two of their first four matches, but someone of Bolasie’s ilk might be the difference between success and failure for the Villans come May.
