Everton paid £40 million to sign Richarlison from Watford last summer.

Everton boss Marco Silva addressed the media during his pre-match press conference today, and raved about the quality of Richarlison amidst reports linking the Brazilian with a switch to Liverpool, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
UOL Esporte in Brazil reported last night that Reds boss Jürgen Klopp has met with the Toffees star’s agent regarding the potential of a summer switch to Anfield.
The 21-year-old is still under contract with Everton until the summer of 2023, however, so the Blues hold all of the cards.
And when speaking to reporters today, Silva laughed off speculation linking Richarlison with Liverpool, highlighting how hard he pushed the Everton board to bring him to Goodison Park last summer, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“I have to smile. This speculation is not important to talk about. Richarlison is our player and he is really happy here. I am 100% sure he will keep learning and improving in the next few seasons. The club paid a lot of money to sign him. I was 100% sure he can help us and fit really well at our club. I asked our club to do everything to sign him. I’m happy, he’s happy.”
Richarlison has racked up 13 goals and two assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for Everton this season, and he is arguably Marco Silva’s best player.
The Brazilian will need to be on his best form on Sunday, when Everton welcome in-form Arsenal to Goodison Park.
