Everton are expecting signings in the next few days, according to Marco Silva.

Everton manager Marco Silva has told the Liverpool Echo that he is expecting the club to make new signings in the coming days after a slow start to the summer transfer window.
The Toffees continued their pre-season preparations on Wednesday night, as they drew 1-1 away at Bury, with Silva’s men unable to claim a win against the League Two side at Gigg Lane.
It was a far cry from the 22-0 win over Austrian side FC Irdning on Saturday afternoon, and whilst fans won’t be too worried about a pre-season game, they will be worried about the club’s lack of signings.
Everton are one of only two Premier League clubs – Tottenham being the other – who have yet to make a single addition to their squad, despite the new Premier League season being just three weeks away.
The Toffees were expected to be busy given that they brought in a new director of football and new manager in Marcel Brands and Silva respectively, but no business has been done yet.
Wayne Rooney and Ramiro Funes Mori have been offloaded, but despite a centre back, left back, central midfielder and attacker still needed, Everton have yet to dip into the market.
Fans are left wondering if Everton will manage to secure any new signings, and Silva has offered some hope on that front after Wednesday’s draw with Bury.

Everton manager Marco Silva has told the Liverpool Echo that he feels the situation isn’t normal due to the transfer window closing early, but he believes that players will be heading to Goodison Park in the next few days.
“Of course, we want a normal number in our squad and we are working on both sides,” said Silva. “Of course, after the next weekend I will start taking some decisions as well because we will have finalised the third week of pre-season and that is the moment to take some important decisions about our players as well. And we expect in the next few days the new players we need will start to arrive.”
“I’m confident. If you ask me, in a normal situation it is not the perfect situation because this season the market will close early, this is new for us. In a normal situation we have maybe already signed one or two players, we haven’t signed anybody yet but we have until the end of the market to sign our targets and it is something we have to do because we need and we need to give a signal for our team and for our fans what we want for the season,” he added.
