Borussia Dortmund will have a new manager next season, having landed Marcos Rose from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Gladbach have confirmed that Rose has decided to leave Gladbach this summer to join Dortmund, becoming their new permanent manager following Lucien Favre’s exit.
Edin Terzic has been in temporary charge, and Rose will now arrive to try and take Dortmund forward at the end of the season.
Rose has already made a promise to Gladbach, stating that he will not be returning to sign any players from his current players for his new club.
If Rose is telling the truth – and we have to take him on his word at this point – then this could be a major boost for a couple of Premier League clubs.
Kicker report that Liverpool and Manchester City both want to sign Gladbach midfeilder Florian Neuhaus, with Sport1 noting that Tottenham planned to challenge Dortmund for Neuhaus too.
Bild add that Liverpool and Manchester City both fancy Gladbach star Denis Zakaria, and knowing that Rose won’t attempt to reunite with either of them at Dortmund is a huge boost.
With the lure of playing for Rose again no longer on the table as things stand, the Premier League clubs will be swarming Gladbach to try and snatch their top talents – and they can offer very appealing alternatives to the midfield duo.
