Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid ace for quite some time.

Real Madrid could be willing to sell Marco Asensio for around £85 million this summer, according to a report from Spanish publication AS, and Liverpool absolutely must attempt to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield.
Mundo Deportivo reported earlier this year that the Reds are very keen on signing the Madrid ace.
The 22-capped Spain international has been struggling for game-time with Los Blancos over the past two years, but he could flourish under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool need more competition for Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, and Asensio is exactly the kind of X-factor signing that could take Klopp’s side to that elusive next level.
The former Mallorca forward possesses blistering pace, can play anywhere along the front-line, and plays with a certain type of directness that would make him ideally suited to Klopp’s system.
Asensio is a truly elite player, and he could very well blow up into a superstar, if given the opportunity to play on a regular basis on the very biggest stage.
And Liverpool might just be the place for him to discover his full potential.
£85 million seems like a lot of money, but for a player with the Spaniard’s quality, it would actually represent decent value.

The only red flag for the Merseyside outfit will be Asensio’s less than impressive record of just 27 goals and 17 assists in 135 appearances in all competitions.
64 of those appearances have been from the substitutes bench, however.
The Madrid ace is clearly a wonderful talent, and should Klopp manage to bring him to Anfield this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Liverpool.
