Leeds United took a step toward the playoff final on Saturday.

Salim Lamrani has praised Leeds United’s players for taking a ‘great first step’ toward the playoff final on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side won 1-0 at Derby County in the first leg of yesterday’s playoff semi-final.
Kemar Roofe scored the only goal in a game where virtually every Leeds player stood up to be counted.
That was also true of Stuart Dallas, a £1.5 million signing by Uwe Rosler in 2015 [The Belfast Telegraph].
Lamrani, who is Bielsa’s translator during press conferences and interviews, highlighted the ‘generous’ Dallas’s performance on Twitter afterwards:
The Northern Ireland international is Leeds’ Mr Reliable, and he’ll have to maintain his reliability when the Rams visit Elland Road on Wednesday.
Dallas is playing in the absence of Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski in an unfamiliar left-back role, but he has proven in the past that he will do a good job in whatever role he is asked to play.
Bielsa’s side will face either Aston Villa or West Bromwich Albion in the Wembley final if they avoid defeat against Derby next week.
