Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will face West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road in the Championship this evening.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has urged the fans to be positive ahead of the match against West Bromwich Albion on Friday evening, as quoted in The Mirror.

The West Yorkshire outfit suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers away from home at Loftus Road in London in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

The loss means that Leeds are now third in the Championship table with 64 points from 34 matches, level on points with second-placed Sheffield United and only two points behind leaders Norwich City.

Leeds are back in action on Friday evening when they take on West Brom at Elland Road in the Championship, and head coach Bielsa has urged the fans to be optimistic.

Bielsa told The Mirror: “The fans can make a difference. They always have a positive impact on the performance of the team.

“We always receive a positive response when we put in the effort and face adversity. Without the support of the fans, we wouldn’t be the team we are.

“They always come to the stadium and for each game this has a big importance for us. This must continue because every game between now and the end of the season is a big challenge for us.”

Tough game for Leeds United

West Brom are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 60 points from 34 games.

The Baggies, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are still in the race for automatic promotion, and Darren Moore’s side will make it tough for the Whites this evening.
