Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will face Norwich City at Elland Road on Saturday.

Stuart Dallas of Leeds United greets fans as he arrives for the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Bristol City at Elland Road on November 24, 2018 in Leeds, England.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has suggested to The Yorkshire Evening Post for how long Stuart Dallas will be on the sidelines.

Dallas, who can operate as a winger or as a wing-back, recently suffered an ankle injury in training and has been ruled out for six weeks, according to a statement on Leeds’s official website.

Leeds head coach Bielsa has given an update on the current situation of the 27-year-old Northern Ireland international.

Bielsa has also explained why Izzy Brown will not feature for Leeds in their Championship game against Norwich City at Elland Road on on Saturday evening.

Brown, who can operate as an attacking midfielder, forward or winger, joined the Whites on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea in the summer of 2018.

The 22-year-old has not played a competitive game since January 2018 due to a torn ACL, but the youngster has been playing for the Leeds Under-23 side.

Bielsa told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Dallas: ”He has a problem in his foot. It’s a new problem linked to the bone stress and for now he will need complete rest for 10 days. And then with the evolution we will see how long he needs to come back.”

Bielsa told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Brown: “Izzy hasn’t played for one year. He is fit. He has trained.

“The sport aspect is different from the fitness aspect. You need to play six or eight games to recover your sport fitness.

“After playing six or eight games, usually the player recovers his skills. That’s what we hope.”

Leeds will be confident of winning against Norwich at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday evening, although the Canaries will make it hard for the Whites.
