Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that he does not plan to make a new signing today.

The summer transfer window in England is open until 5pm today, meaning that there is still time for Leeds to sign a player from an EFL club.

However, Bielsa has stated that he does not plan to make a new addition today.

Bielsa told Leeds Live when asked if there will be more signings today: “No, sincerely not.”

Busy summer transfer window for Leeds United

Leeds were quite busy in the summer transfer window after getting promoted from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season.

The West Yorkshire club signed Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Raphinha among other players, while Illian Meslier and Helder Costa’s loan deals were also made permanent.

Leeds do appear to have a strong squad, and given how Bielsa has improved the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas, one would expect him to make the new signings better.

Leeds are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with seven points from four matches and will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers next Monday.
