Leif Davis seemingly impressed for Leeds United on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa was reportedly very happy with Leeds United’s Leif Davis on Saturday night.
Bielsa’s side were held to a 1-1 draw with Italian outfit Cagliari on their final pre-season friendly of the summer before next week’s Championship curtain raiser.
Davis, who only turned 19 in January, started at left-back and impressed both going forward and in defence.
In fact, his cross contributed to United getting back on level terms, when Mateusz Klich won a penalty which Pablo Hernandez converted after the Poland midfielder received Davis’s delivery in the box.
According to Leeds Live’s commentary at the 41-minute mark, the Argentine coach could be heard ‘bellowing’ praise for the teenage defender, repeating the phrase ‘Very good, very good’.
Bielsa clearly has a soft spot for the former Morecambe star; not only because he brought him to Italy in the first place, but because he played him last season.
Davis made five first-team appearances for the Whites in all competitions last term and what a boost it is for the 64-year-old coach this time around.
Now he has no fewer than three very able left-back options, including Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski. It’s quite a contrast to May, when Leeds finished the season with Stuart Dallas as a makeshift option, and it’ll be interesting to see who starts there in next week’s trip to Bristol City.
