Liverpool are reportedly keen on Leeds United’s Leif Davis.

Leif Davis hardly featured for Leeds United during the recently concluded season, yet his name is being touted with Premier League giants Liverpool.

The Sun have claimed that the Liverpool and Bournemouth are interested in the 19-year-old defender, who only moved to Elland Road last summer.

It is said that the Reds want the highly-rated left-back to be a backup for Andrew Robertson after his stunning season on the left for the Anfield-based club.

Given his talents, the interest in Davis won’t surprise many within Yorkshire, but it is proof that Bielsa should provide him with more game time next term.

Over the course of the season, Bielsa, who has had to work with a relatively small squad, has showcased his ability to bring through youngsters.

Considering Premier League clubs are potentially keen on Davis’ services, it should persuade Bielsa to push him up the pecking order at Elland Road.

Stuart Dallas was purchased by Leeds last summer, but after a bright start to the campaign, injuries and a lack of form saw him fall away from the first team.

As a result, winger Ezgjan Alioski found himself deploying that role, whilst Davis was given his debut against Aston Villa in December when the injuries were really mounting up.

Rather than playing Alioski in that role next term, Bielsa should push the whizkid up the order and let him challenge Dallas for a first-team spot.
