Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has praised Raphinha following his heroics against Everton this evening, as quoted on BBC Sport.

The 23-year-old winger found the back of the Toffees’ net in the 79th minute with an effort from 20 yards.

Leeds boss Bielsa has praised the Brazilian, and he has hailed director of football Victor Orta for noticing that the winger has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

The winger joined the Whites from Rennes in the summer of 2020.

BBC Sport quotes Bielsa as saying: “Raphinha has adapted very quickly to the Premier League. Victor anticipated he had the characteristcs to play in the Premier League. He was correct in choosing him.”

How did Raphinha play against Everton?

Raphinha had a very good game against Everton, as the winger created problems for the defenders, linked up well with his teammates, and scored a wonderful goal.

What was remarkable about the Brazilian was his energy and fitness. The winger showed great movement and looked very much like a player who could be massive in the Premier League.

According to WhoScored, Raphinha took four shots, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 73.3%, won one header, took 51 touches, made three tackles, and put in three crosses.
