Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has raved about Rodrigo in Leeds Live.
Rodrigo came on as a substitute for Patrick Bamford in the 79th minute of the Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 30-year-old, who can play as a striker or as a winger, scored in the 84th minute to help Leeds to a 3-1 win against Spurs.
The Spain international has only just returned from an injury layoff, and Bielsa has explained his situation.
The Leeds head coach has also praised Rodrigo, and has said that he can find solutions in a game all by himself.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Rodrigo: “Rodrigo is a vital player for us. The obligation of all of us who are part of this group is to manage to get him to be able to do everything that he is capable of doing.
“After the time he spent without playing, he played half-an-hour against Brighton, 45 minutes with the under-23s and he came on in the game today and after each appearance, he has played better than he did in the previous game.
“So it’s important that we manage to see the richness that he has football-wise. He’s a player who has the solutions to a game without anyone indicating them to him.”

Rodrigo has not had the best of times this season and has even been linked with a move away from Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Having arrived from Valencia last summer, Rodrigo would have had high expectations, and while the Spaniard has not exactly been great for Leeds, he has done well on occasions.
The former Benfica man has made 12 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.
It has a been a difficult season for Rodrigo, but Bielsa seems to have faith in him.
