Leeds United can reclaim top spot with a win against West Bromwich Albion.
Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that Adam Forshaw is likely to miss Leeds United’s visit of West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, alongside Pablo Hernandez.
Hernandez missed Leeds’ defeat at Charlton Athletic on Saturday, although Forshaw played the entire second half.
But according to his manager, Bielsa, the latter player has been unable to shake off an issue he first encountered earlier on in the campaign.
“Probably, Pablo and Adam are not going to be in the group,” the Argentine explained via the official Leeds Twitter page, ahead of his side’s game against the Championship leaders, West Brom.
“The last match before the international break he (Forshaw) had a little problem and he cannot solve it at all.”
Helder Costa and Jamie Shackleton are good bets to deputise for the absent pair, having both started against Charlton.
Despite their shortage of bodies, Leeds have still granted permission to senior players Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas, Gaetano Berardi and Jack Clarke, to drop to the Under-23s for Monday afternoon’s visit of Crewe Alexandra.
Forshaw cost Leeds a reported fee of £4.5 million from Middlesbrough in January 2018.
