Leeds United remain in the Championship’s top-six after their defeat against Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa has shared that he should have decided to ‘improve the structure and organisation’ of his Leeds United team in the first half rather than after the break.
Leeds suffered a 2-1 defeat at managerless Millwall, with Gaetano Berardi seeing red after 14 minutes for an alleged foul on Tom Bradshaw in the penalty area.
That spot-kick was converted and the home team then doubled their advantage just before half-time, with Bielsa bringing on Barry Douglas for Helder Costa at the break.
After the match, Bielsa seemingly suggested that he made a mistake in not changing things up a lot earlier than he should have.
“After the first half, I decided to improve the structure and organisation in the team,” Bielsa told LUTV. “But I should have taken the decision in the first half.
“We realised our superiority in the second [half] rather than the first half. Maybe I could have taken this decision earlier to help the team.”

Bielsa is known to make changes at half-time, whether his team is winning or not, therefore, as they were down to 10 men, some sort of change was going to occur.
When Ezgjan Alioski netted straight after the restart, Leeds fans would have been hoping, but in the end, Millwall recorded all three points.
It does kill a bit of momentum from Leeds’ perspective because they went into that game at the Den having ended West Brom’s unbeaten start in midweek.
Leeds are sitting in fifth place, at this moment in time, but only two points separate them and West Brom, who are sitting top of the table.
