Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that he was moved by the fans’ wild celebrations after Kemar Roofe scored the winner to beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2.

The Whites were back in action today after the remarkable 3-2 comeback win at Aston Villa on Sunday, and as if that wasn’t enough drama, Leeds served up even more today.

Derrick Williams’ own goal had put Leeds 1-0 up in the first half, before Charlie Mulgrew equalised shortly after half time with a penalty.

Mulgrew then whipped a 90th minute free kick into the net, seemingly handing Blackburn a shock win so late in the day at Elland Road.

However, this Leeds side simply doesn’t know when to quit, and after Roofe had equalised in the 91st minute, he popped up again in the 94th to secure all three points.

Fans unsurprisingly went wild at such a dramatic late goal, creating a racket as Leeds moved three points clear at the top of the Championship table in unlikely circumstances.

Bielsa has now spoken about the atmosphere after Roofe’s second goal, admitting that it was ‘moving’ for everybody at the club, adding that nothing compares to football when it comes to emotions.

“It was moving for all of us,” said Bielsa. “In football you can have emotions that can reach a high level and that’s why nothing is comparable to football regarding emotions,” he added.
