Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has said that Raphinha told him and the coaching staff that he wanted to come off against West Ham United, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Raphinha started for Leeds in their Premier League game against West Ham at Elland Road this afternoon.
The Brazilian winger played well, but he could not prevent Leeds from losing 2-1.
Raphinha scored in the 19th minute to put the West Yorkshire club in the lead.
The winger took three shots and two of them were on target, and played three key passes.
Leeds head coach Bielsa took off Raphinha midway through the second half, and he has said that it was because the winger could not carry on.

Bielsa told Leeds Live about Raphinha: “He let us know it was becoming difficult for him to stay on the pitch.
“Throughout the whole week he was recovering from the knock at Newcastle. He played a great game as long as he could stay on the field.”

Worrying for Leeds United?
Raphinha is one of the best players for Leeds and is a key figure in the team.
It is never a good sign when a player tells his manager that he cannot complete a football match.
Leeds are not in action until next weekend when they face Watford at Elland Road.
Perhaps the winger will recover in the coming days and will be fit to start against Watford.
