However, the Welsh international has been back in Leeds training over the international break.
And Bielsa has admitted that he is considering using the 20-year-old at the weekend.
“Yes. A possibility,” Bielsa said, when asked if Roberts could play.
Roberts’s return to Leeds is a boost, as he looked in bright form towards the back end of last season.
Roberts was regularly picked to play behind the striker for the Whites, and he should offer them energy and skill upon his return.
It seems likely that if Roberts does feature against Barnsley it will be off the bench.
Leeds have been in impressive form so far this season, and it would be harsh to drop any member of their current starting line-up right now.
