Leeds United moved back to the top of the Championship table, for a brief period, following their win against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa has praised Stuart Dallas for the manner in which he defended against Eberechi Eze during Leeds United’s 2-0 win over QPR on Saturday at Elland Road.

The Whites recorded a much-needed win against the R’s, with Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison finding the back of the net on either side of the half.

As reported by TalkSport earlier on in the year, Leeds were keen on securing the services of Eze, who is touted as one of the best players in the second-tier of English football.

After Leeds recorded their three points against QPR, Bielsa had nothing but positive words to say about Dallas and the manner in which he dealt with Eze.

“He played against a great player, the number 10 [Eze] of QPR,” Bielsa told Leeds Live. “He defended and attacked well. His performance had an impact for us today. He played against a great player.”

Eze has started the new Championship season in a pretty strong fashion, but he will be well aware that he can take his game to another level, at the very least, this season.

Eberechi Eze of QPR warms up during the Carabao Cup second round match between Queens Park Rangers and Portsmouth at Loftus Road on August 28, 2019 in London, England.

Leeds would love a player like him amongst their ranks as he is the type of player that suits Bielsa’s system and someone the Argentine would be able to get the absolute best out of.

Eze didn’t manage to find the back of the net at Elland Road or even help his team to some points, but he did still produce an impressive display.

If QPR manager Mark Warburton can get the best of players like Eze this season then their chances of sneaking into those promotion places will increase.
