Bielsa has also spoken highly of Saiz, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward.
“Samu Saiz is a great player,” Bielsa told Leeds Live about Saiz. “He is the player who can create the lack of balance that our team needs. He’s the only player in our group who can create this lack of balance.”
Stepping up
Saiz is one of the best and most creative footballers in the Championship and is an important player in the current Leeds squad.
The 27-year-old scored five goals and provided seven assists in 28 Championship starts for Leeds last season, according to WhoScored.
The performance level of Saiz this campaign has not been as of during the 2017-18 season, though.
The Spaniard has provided just two assists in 14 Championship starts for the Whites so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Saiz does need to step up and get more creative, as it would be too much to ask Pablo Hernandez to do it all by himself.
Leeds are second in the Championship table at the moment with 27 points from 15 matches, just two points behind leaders Sheffield United.
