The Leeds United head coach made the 200-mile round trip to Crewe on Monday.

The Leeds United head coach, Marcelo Bielsa, has opted not to comment on the Whites Under-23s’ display against Crewe Alexandra on Monday.
Leeds’ second string had shown good form of late, but were comfortably beaten 3-1 by their Railwaymen counterparts.
Bielsa made the 200-mile round trip to watch the game in person, and told the Yorkshire Evening Post when asked about his presence at Crewe’s Alexandra Park training complex: “I usually do this routine of observing the players of my group and also in concerns the best younger players. I didn’t go to see any player in particular, I went to see the whole group.”
Asked if anyone had impressed him, the Argentine replied: “No. When we have to comment on defeats if I can avoid commenting on defeats I prefer not to. It’s not an obligation.”
Goals from Malachi Linton, Alex Nicholls and Eddie Nolan had Crewe coasting before Jack Clarke’s consolation for Leeds four minutes from time.

Carlos Corberan’s side are not in action again until a week on Friday, when Birmingham City visit Thorp Arch.
And with a 10-day gap between that and the U23s’ next fixture, away to Sheffield United, Leeds Live reports a game between they and the Whites’ seniors is scheduled to take place.
