Marcelo Bielsa seems to rate Leeds United youngsters Tom Pearce, Tyler Roberts, Jamie Shackleton and Conor Shaughnessy highly.

Bielsa, who was appointed the Leeds head coach earlier this summer, has been impressed with Tom Pearce, Tyler Roberts, Jamie Shackleton and Conor Shaughnessy.
“[Tom] Pearce is one of the youngsters,” Bielsa told Leeds Live when asked which of the Leeds youngsters he rates the highest.
“Tyler Roberts is a young player too. [Jamie] Shackleton is also a youngster. [Conor] Shaughnessey also belongs to this group.”

Promising players
Shaughnessy has played only a handful of matches for the Leeds first team so far in his career, but the 22-year-old has already made a good impression.
The versatility of the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international to operate as a central defender or as a central midfielder is also a boon for him.
Jamie Shackleton is a talented midfielder, and Bielsa’s comments suggest that the youngster could get chances from time to time this season.
Tom Pearce did well during the back-end of last season, and the 20-year-old – who can operate as a left-back or as a left wing-back – can only improve under Bielsa this season.
As for Tyler Roberts, the 19-year-old striker – who can also play as a winger – struggled with injuries following his move from West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window, but the teenager will be a key player for the Whites this season.
