Marcelo Bielsa makes Tyler Roberts claim after Leeds win yesterday

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Tyler Roberts will show his quality as the season progresses.

Bielsa made the comments following Leeds’s 1-0 win against Sheffield United away from home in the Yorkshire derby on Sunday.

Roberts, who can play as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder, started the Premier League game at Bramall Lane, but he was substituted at half time.

The Wales international did not have a good game, and was largely quiet and could not make an impact, but Leeds head coach Bielsa is confident that the youngster will turn on the style as the season progresses.

Bielsa told Leeds Live about Roberts: “I think as the season goes on he will be able to show the undoubted qualities he has.”

So far this season, the 21-year-old has made one start and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Whites, according to WhoScored.
