Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts are yet to feature for Leeds United this season due to injury.

Marcelo Bielsa has issued a disappointing update to LUTV on the fitness of Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts, with the Leeds boss suggesting that neither player is expected to be back soon.
The pair have not featured for the Whites this season, with Ayling undergoing ankle surgery after taking a knock ahead of the club’s pre-season friendly of the summer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Roberts has been sidelined for even longer having missed the final games of last season and international duty with Wales at the start of the summer. But unfortunately for Leeds, Bielsa has suggested that neither player is that close to making a return.
“Week by week they are making the evaluation of this process. Roberts will probably be available before Ayling, but I cannot confirm the time. We are not talking about players who will be back soon,” he told LUTV.

The positive news for Leeds is that the players who have filled in have stepped up. Stuart Dallas has actually been something of a revelation at right-back, taking the form that he showed during the latter stages of last season into this campaign.
And the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Mateusz Klich and Jack Harrison have stepped up in that attacking midfield area. The trio have scored four goals between them in all competitions, while both Hernandez and Klich have contributed an assist.

Leeds are no strangers to having to cope with key players being injured for lengthy periods. Remarkably, Bielsa is still yet to have a fully fit senior squad available to him since taking the job last summer.
And while the pair’s returns will inevitably provide a boost to the Leeds squad, Bielsa will be hoping that the available players can continue to step up and ensure that the fans have no need to count down the days until both Ayling and Roberts are back available.
