Marcelo Bielsa has hinted to Leeds Live that Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell could return to his side’s starting line-up against Reading.

Peacock-Farrell missed out on playing in Leeds’ last match due to injury, with Will Huffer given the nod to start in goal.

Huffer helped Leeds keep a clean sheet, as they beat Bristol City 2-0 at Elland Road.

But Peacock-Farrell is now fit again, and Bielsa has hinted he could be start against Reading.

“Bailey can be a starter tomorrow,” Bielsa said.

Peacock-Farrell’s return is good news for Leeds, as their goalkeeping options were looking very short.

Jamal Blackman has also picked up an injury, which left Leeds without a senior stopper to call upon at the weekend.

Peacock-Farrell will be under pressure to perform if he does come back into the Whites’ starting line-up.

Bielsa admitted that he would have dropped the Northern Ireland international if Blackman had stayed fit.

And Peacock-Farrell cannot afford to make any more errors, otherwise signing a goalkeeper may be a possibility for Leeds in January.
