Leeds United reportedly want to sign Eberechi Eze, and Mark Warburton’s comments on the Queens Park Rangers star from earlier this season will be hugely encouraging for the Elland Road faithful.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have won automatic promotion to the Premier League, and understandably, the Whites will be making signings in the summer transfer window.
According to The Sun, Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has identified QPR attacking midfielder Eze as a transfer target this summer.
Bielsa is reportedly ready to pay more for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder than Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
Eze is one of the best young attack-minded players in the Championship, and there is no surprise that Leeds reportedly want him.
What QPR manager Warburton said about the English youngster earlier this season will further encourage the Elland Road faithful.
Warburton told QPR’s official Twitter page on December 7, 2019: “There are no limits for Eze. It is down to him and how hard he works.
“He is a tremendous talent, I want him to enjoy his football and he has got to understand how much hard work is required to maximise the talent that he has.”
Pablo Hernandez’s successor?
Pablo Hernandez is the creator-in-chief in the current Leeds team, but the Spaniard cannot be expected to do it all on his own next season, especially as he is 35 years of age.
A dynamic and creative player like Eze is going to help the Spaniard, and the QPR youngster could also learn from Hernandez.
According to WhoScored, Eze scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 46 Championship matches for QPR this season.
