Leeds United may soon have a decision to make on Jack Harrison, with the winger’s third season on loan at the club set to come to an end.

Harrison is scheduled to return to Manchester City this summer, and whilst many have expected that Leeds will turn the move permanent, that may not be a guarantee after some tough weeks in 2021.

Leeds are also being linked with also being linked with other wingers now, and one of them is certainly a Marcelo Bielsa favourite in fellow Argentine Lucas Ocampos.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Leeds fancy signing Ocampos from Sevilla, though the report adds that Liverpool are also keen on luring him to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has notched seven goals and four assists this season, whilst 17 goals and five assists last term showed what a quality player Ocampos can be.

Bielsa will probably have an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of Argentinian players anyway, but he has previously shown just how much he loves Ocampos.

Way back in the summer of 2014, Bielsa exploded after Marseille failed to sign 13 of his targets, including Toby Alderweireld, Javi Manquillo, Serge Aurier and Christian Tello.

One of them was Ocampos, who was turning out for Monaco at the time, and Bielsa had picked him out as an important target for Marseille, and missing out left Bielsa upset.

Just a matter of months later, Bielsa did get his man as Ocampos joined Marseille, but Bielsa ended up leaving Marseille six months down the line, meaning he didn’t get all that much time with the winger.

There appears to be mutual love between the pair, as Ocampos was quoted last year as calling Bielsa ‘the professor’, meaning a reunion may well appeal to the winger.

Much will depend on how much Sevilla want for Ocampos, but history has shown that he and Bielsa are big fan of each other.
