Leeds United were beaten 4-2 by Derby County at Elland Road last night.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa spoke to reporters after his side were dumped out of the Championship play-offs by Derby last night, and responded when asked whether Kiko Casilla’s mistake ended up costing his side, as quoted by Leeds Live.
The Whites collapsed in sensational fashion against the Rams last night, after taking a 1-0 lead into the game at Elland road.
Leeds looked to be in total control heading into half-time, leading the contest 2-0 on aggregate, before Casilla decided to rush off of his line.
The Spaniard got in a real mix up with his defenders, allowing Jack Marriot to sneak in and score for Derby.
When speaking to reporters, Bielsa refused to blame the 32-year-old stopper, however, instead suggesting that there were other reasons why his team lost the game, as quoted by Leeds Live:

“I don’t think so. You can’t imagine playing a football game without any mistake. You make questions that invite me to think, make a reflection. You could say the goal happened for these reasons. We had a 20 minute loss of control, a player sent off. That’s why I said we have to take the game as a whole, we can’t just analyse specific moments because until minute 40 of the first half we had five chances, they had none.”
Leeds will now have to regroup and go again next season, but it will undoubtedly take them a long time to get over the disappointment of last night.
And whether Bielsa will still be at Elland Road next season remains to be seen.
