Leeds United got their campaign off to a winning start, as they beat Stoke City 3-1.

Leeds beat Stoke City 3-1 yesterday, as they made an impressive start to the Bielsa era.
The Whites opened the scoring through Mateusz Klich and never looked back after, as they dispatched with the title favourites.
Further goals came from Pablo Hernandez and Liam Cooper and even though Benik Afobe scored from the spot it was not enough to get Stoke back into the game.
The atmosphere inside Elland Road was electric, as supporters’ optimism was raised.
And Bielsa said: “The atmosphere was even better than what I thought, the fans were connected to the messages of the team in every second of the game.

“I would like to thank the fans for their support and I hope that our football will create a positive reaction from the supporters.”
Bielsa’s impressive start to life at Leeds has raised optimism around the club even further, but they won’t have the backing of a home crowd in their next match.
Leeds are due to take on Frank Lampard’s Derby County side next weekend, as both team’s new managers look to protect their winning starts.
