Stuart Dallas has been one of Leeds’ best players this season, and Leeds fans will be glad to know that they have another player in his mould coming up through the academy.
Indeed, Niall Huggins appears to share two of the most important attribute that makes Dallas one of the most important players in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Huggins is only 20 years old, but Bielsa already sees him as one of the most versatile players in Leeds’ squad, while the gaffer has also talked up his physical ability.
“He can play as a full-back in the back-four on the left-hand side or on the right-hand side,” said Bielsa.
“Or as a midfielder accompanying a more defensive midfielder.
“He can play with ease on both sides, left or right. Originally he was a winger/offensive midfielder.
“This gives him more resources during the possession and he can play in all three heights of the pitch. Apart from that, he is a player with a physical performance above the norm.”

Bielsa’s comments on Huggins may have been a bit long-winded, but we make that five different positions he can already play at this young age.
Add into that that Bielsa thinks he’s an abnormal physical specimen and it seems as though he has all the tools to be a success under the Argentine.
Dallas has moulded himself into one of the most important players at Leeds due to his incredible physical fitness and versatility, and it seems as though Huggins ticks both of those boxes.
Of course, we’d be doing the Northern Irishman a disservice if we didn’t mention how good he is technically as he’s come on leaps and bounds on the ball since Bielsa’s arrival, but if the Argentine can instil a similar set of skills into Huggins, he could have another Dallas on his hands.
