Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has suggested to Leeds Live that he was pleased with the performance of Patrick Bamford against Norwich City at the weekend.

Bamford did not start the Championship game at Elland Road on Saturday evening, but the former Nottingham Forest forward came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute.

The 25-year-old scored the only goal for Leeds in the first minute of injury time, as the West Yorkshire outfit lost 3-1.

According to WhoScored, Bamford took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 83.3%, and made one tackle and one clearance.

Leeds head coach Bielsa has suggested that he was pleased with how Bamford played against Norwich.

Bielsa told Leeds Live about Bamford’s performance: “When a no.9 scores, it’s always a positive. And it was very hard for any player to play well in the second half.”

Encouraging for Leeds United

Bamford is a very good forward who knows the Championship, and the Englishman’s recovery from injury is certainly good news for Leeds.

The 25-year-old forward has managed just 110 minutes in the Championship for the Whites so far this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
