Leeds United playmaker Pablo Hernandez was in wonderful form on opening day, as he scored against Bristol City.

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has completely agreed with a journalist who suggested that the Championship must be full of special players if Pablo Hernandez didn’t make the Team of the Season, as quoted by Leeds Live.
Leeds playmaker Hernandez was controversially omitted from the PFA’s Team of the Year last term, despite enjoying a brilliant campaign for Bielsa’s men.
The Spaniard, who is on £19,000-a-week at Leeds (Daily Star), has picked up where he left out this time around too, as he shone in Leeds opening weekend victory over Bristol City yesterday.
Hernandez scored Leeds’ opening goal in the contest, and then set-up Patrick Bamford for the Whites’ second.
Bielsa was very impressed by Hernandez’s display, and when a journalist said that only special players could have kept the 34-year-old out of the Team of the Season, he responded: “I completely agree with you
“He created a lot of balance in the game, individual play. He’s a player who plays more in combinations. When he add this type of skills it’s a big value for the team.”

Leeds ended up winning 3-1 against Bristol City, and their display in the contest was hugely impressive.
Leeds dominated the contest for large periods, and showed why they have gone into the campaign as promotion favourites.
Bielsa’s men are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Nottingham Forest.
