Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Rodrigo has recovered his physical level.
Rodrigo had coronavirus earlier in the season, but the Spain international is now fully fit and playing for Leeds.
The 29-year-old, who can operate as a winger, attacking midfielder or forward, was in action for the Whites in their Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
After the match, Bielsa said that Rodrigo has “recovered his physical level”.
The Leeds head coach also gave his take on the performance of Pascal Struijk, who played in defensive midfield in the absence of Kalvin Phillips.
Bielsa told Leeds Live about Rodrigo: “No, physically he is a player that has recovered his physical level. With regards to the attacking output, the attacking output of the team has reduced, not Rodrigo necessarily.”
The Leeds head coach said about Struijk: “He didn’t shine. But he also didn’t commit errors that unbalanced the team.”
