Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds United’s official website that Andrea Radrizzani should be feeling proud right now.

Leeds completed their first signing of the January transfer window yesterday, bringing in Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid.

And Bielsa feels that Radrizzani should be very happy that a player of such magnitude would move to Elland Road.

“The fact that the goalkeeper of Real Madrid comes to Leeds, I think the owner of the club should be proud of being able to attract this kind of player,” Bielsa said.

Casilla had fallen down the pecking order at Madrid following the arrival of Thibaut Courtois, and Leeds were able to pick him up on a free transfer.

Casilla brings experience to Leeds, and will be in a fight with Bailey Peacock-Farrell for the number one shirt.

Peacock-Farrell is highly regarded at Leeds, but he hasn’t been flawless so far this season.

The youngster could now face a fight for his place, although Bielsa has admitted that Casilla won’t be picked this weekend, when Leeds take on Stoke City.
